Jerry Sandusky child molestation- Nothing is more despicable than when a person in authority, such as a coach or teacher, abuses the trust of a parent and child. Unfortunately, some use their mentoring position as a way to get access to children. This week, a child molestation scandal has rocked the sports world and Penn State. Former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is being accused of allegedly molesting nine children, and the numbers could get much higher. Sandusky was assistant to head football coach Joe Paterno. The alleged look the other way attitude, and little disregard when these accusations began is also making headlines. Late Wednesday night it was announced that Joe Paterno has been fired. Penn State president Graham Spanier was also released from his duties. Other sports figures have also been involved in scandalous child molestation cases that tainted the sports world.
